The continuing development of digital media technologies has a great amount of significance on media institutions and audiences. Converting to digital media makes content easily available for audiences, while also costing media institutions less to promote their platforms. The feasibility of the digital format also allows for media to be spread among audiences faster than physical media as used in the past. From a digital aspect, no printing of physical advertising is needed. This allows for media institutions to invest more money in stronger ways to further promote the industry. These results of the continuing development of digital media has and will continue to have many significant effects on the media industry along with audiences.
