Cover Page Mockup 2
After reviewing my first magazine cover mockup, I rethought the layout. Previously, it was hard to read the tan lettering of the article titles. In addition, the lighting of the photo did not pair well with the text. Upon creating a new cover, I changed the color scheme to a color that depicts the wilderness better than it did before. I made the title and articles look more organized by putting article descriptions in a transparent box that slightly offset the color of the title. This made the descriptions easier to read and the title stand out amongst the trees in the photo.
In the future, I plan to take a picture of a hiking trail that has more of a mountain scenery among a trail rather than a picture that has many trees that clutter and deceive the cover. This will allow more flexibility in the sense of making the cover look inviting toward an active audience.
